This piece was thrown on the wheel and then the shape was altered to create the final shape. It was burnished to create a smooth clay surface and then terra sigillata was applied and burnished to create a more lustrous surface. It was then fired in a saggar with steel wool, seaweed, and cobalt carbonate. This piece has been polished with wax. It is no food or dishwasher safe.
