This piece was thrown on the wheel, then burnished to create a smooth surface. Next it was covered with terra siggilata and burnished again to create a lustrous sheen. The piece was fired in a saggar with copper, cobalt carbonate and banana peels It is a decorative object and not food or dishwasher safe. It has been polished with wax to protect the surface.
